Calven Robinson, Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD) star Jojo’s husband has been making a few more appearances and setting tongues wagging in the third season of the Showmax Original reality series.

A heated argument between his feisty wife and new edition Slindile “Slee” Ndlovu ensued in the second episode. Jojo was unhappy about Slee allegedly being too friendly with her husband; indirectly suggesting she was flitting with him when they met for the first time at Nonku’s house.

So, who is Calven Robinson?

1. HE IS ‘THE BUTCHER’

Jojo’s hubby is a former kickboxing champion and martial artist known by the nickname, The Butcher.

2. CALVEN IS A BUSINESSMAN

He owns a popular butchery franchise in KwaZulu-Natal called Bluff Meat Supply. Calven has reportedly also invested heavily in the real estate industry and service delivery tenders.

3. HE IS VERY WEALTHY

According to Briefly, the entrepreneur has an estimated net worth of R995 million.

His wife often gloats about his wealth on RHOD and on social media; telling her fans that she “married rich”.

In season two of the reality series, she emphasised that she is the only cast member on the much-loved show who is a housewife in the most accurate form of the word. This is because she does not own a business like the other ladies. She, instead, spends her time spending her husband’s money and being a mom to their six-year-old son Rocco.

4. HE IS A PHILANTHROPIST

Calven is also known for giving back to the underprivileged. This month, he donated meat packets to families in need along with Nonku who had donated nine homes in KZN.

5. CALVEN AND JOJO MET THROUGH SOCIAL MEDIA

The couple, which married in a lavish wedding in 2014 that featured on Top Billing, met through social media in 2012. At the time, he was in Durban and she in Joburg so they only saw each other face-to-face the following year. Seven months later, Calven proposed and Jojo moved from Gauteng to KZN. They have a six-year-old son named Rocco.
