Sorisha gushes over Gucci and other lux stores opening in Durban

More money, more fashion: Sorisha Naidoo just celebrated the fact that Durban will not only have Gucci but a number of other high-end stores.

South African reality TV star and millionaire actress Sorisha Naidoo couldn’t be happier to have a Gucci store so close to home. The star expressed her excitement about the opening of The Platinum Walk which will feature a number international brands at the Ocean Mall in Umhlanga Durban — the newly opened mall which is co-developed by Sorisha’s billionaire husband Vivian Reddy.

According to reports, The Platinum Walk project cost an estimated R550 million but brings high-end stores such as Jimmy Choo, Hugo Boss, Diesel, Coco Safar, Lacoste, Paul and Shark and more, closer to home for people in Durban.

Sorisha Naidoo on having high-end store close to home

Sorisha Naidoo and her hubby Vivian Reddy live the life that many people’s dreams are made of and now things just got a little better for Sorisha who lives in luxury clothing brands.

The star excitedly spoke to TimesLive about the launch of the R550m Platinum Walk which brings luxury stores to the doorsteps of the Durban community.

A better Durban for all

According to Sorisha, the opening of the Platinum Walk will not only boost Durban’s economy, but also ensure that fashion lovers no longer need to travel to Durban or Cape Town to buy their favourite luxury brands.

“The presence of the international brands in Durban means shoppers don’t have to incur the costs of travelling to Johannesburg or Cape Town to do their shopping,” she told the publication.

The Real Housewives of Durban star also reportedly said that more than 3000 shoppers visited the Platinum Walk on Saturday when it was launched.
