‘Samthing Soweto crawled for you to walk’: Tweeps set Sir Trill right
Amapiano musician Sir Trill was advised to chill out by Twitter users who reminded him that Samthing Soweto has done more in the piano industry than him.

Rapper and music producer Sir Trill took to Twitter on 28 December boasting that he “brought a whole generation of piano vocalist.” While some social media users praised the musician, others reminded the amapiano composer that there were other musicians who paved the way for him as well.

Sir Trill told his followers to watch out that a new style of amapiano was coming soon and bragged that he had paved the way for numerous vocalists in the piano industry.
@SIR_TRILLSA tweeted,
“I brought a whole generation of piano vocalists. You sing and rap on a beat. Listen to every song now. To the vocalists. Feed your families.”
“New style coming. 6 voices by one artist. Let’s go!!!!” he added.
Vocalist Lady Du passively agreed and said that the rapper should remember that she was also part of it.
It was not the first time the Emlanjeni hitmaker posted so vainly of himself.
In October, Sir Trill also shared that amapiano “changed lives and our own anthem.” This he wrote as he referred to the tracks to his latest album Ghost.
Netizens pointed out to the record producer that the real legend of amapiano is Samthing Soweto and not him. They advised him to rather focus on making hits and let the accolades speak for themselves.
Responding to one of the comments, the songwriter dispelled that his posts were in any way shape or form shared to be disrespectful anyone but rather to “give context and meaning to amapiano” genre.
Some people online were excited about what was to come next for amapiano and praised the musician for his incredible talent.
Other Twitter users shared that they were not impressed with Sir Trill currently and pointed out to the rapper that at the end of the day, he was not as Influential as Samthing Soweto.
