Trevor Noah has topped the Twitter trends list after being romantically linked to singer Dua Lipa and resigning from his post as host of The Daily Show – the very next day!
The South African comedian has been the face of the talk show for the last seven years.
TREVOR NOAH SPOTTED WITH DUA LIPA, AMID RESIGNATION
Moments after announcing that he was leaving The Daily Show after being at the helm for seven years, the star was seen getting cozy with Dua Lipa.
In fact, the duo was even seen kissing – and it was clear that there was plenty of chemistry!
According to MailOnline, Trevor and Dua were enjoying a hot date in New York City, at a Jamaican restaurant on Wednesday night
Trevor Noah – who split from girlfriend Minka Kelly in May – and Dua Lipa – whose ex-boyfriend is model Anwar Hadid – crossed paths at the Grammys in March, which the SA star hosted for the second consecutive time.
On Thursday, Trevor Noah dropped another bombshell – he was leaving his talk show home to pursue other ventures.
Breaking the news to viewers, Trevor said: “My time is up, but in the most beautiful way. I’ve loved hosting this show, it’s been one of my greatest challenges and joys.
I’ve loved trying to figure out how to make people laugh when the stories are particularly sh***y on the worst days. We’ve laughed together, we’ve cried together, but after seven years I feel like it’s time”.
