Star shopper: Fan spots Trevor Noah in Checkers [photo]

Trevor Noah may be a certified billionaire, but that doesn’t stop him from doing his own food shopping – in Checkers, nogal!

The South African comedian – who is based in the US – was spotted back home in Mzansi in a grocery aisle!

FAN SPOTS TREVOR NOAH DURING GROCERY TRIP

This week, Trevor Noah was spotted back home in South Africa, and we suspect it has everything to do with his 39th birthday celebrations.

On Sunday night, the Soweto-born star was spotted alongside Kevin Hart on stage as part of his SA comedy tour stop in Pretoria. The hilarious duo was then seen partying the night away.

But just hours later, Trevor was seen doing a spot of shopping at a Checkers store in Johannesburg.

Shunning any form of disguise or security, the star pushed a trolley as he went about his business. But no one would’ve believed the story if it had not been for a selfie posted by fan Keenan Constance.

Tagging Trevor Noah, the fan tweeted: “Look who I bumped into today. Must have gotten so many selfie requests while there, shame man, next time use Checkers Sixty60. Appreciate the selfie though”.

Realising that it was actually Trevor’s birthday, the tweep added: “Just found out it’s his birthday today. Here I am, bugging this man for a selfie and I didn’t even wish him. Happy birthday Mr Noah. I hope it was a great one.”

Clearly chuffed at seeing one of SA’s most talented exports in their stores, Checkers reposted the tweet on their timeline.
