Trevor Noah and his group of friends – including Sizwe Dhlomo, Anele Mdoda and her son Alakhe as well as Khaya Dlanga and Xolisa Dyeshana – have taken their annual vacation together to adventurous heights in 2023
After enjoying the sites and scenery of the Western Cape last year, the long-term pals decided to up their stakes with a thrilling trip to Cosa Rica.
But things didnt go according to plan after the pals documented their near-death experience on social media.

TREVOR NOAH’S ADVENTUROUS FRIENDCATION
Taking to Instagram, Trevor Noah’s pals Anele Mdoda and her son Alakhe, Sizwe Dhlomo, and Khaya Dlanga shared their jam-packed itinerary during their recent trip to the Central American country.
Here’s what they got up to.
Chilling by the pool
Although Trevor Noah took a break from social media, his pals, including Anele and Sizwe, posted a storm from their five-star residence at the Four Seasons in Costa Rica.

Yachting
After sipping cocktails at the pool, the group took to the seas on a luxury yacht.
Jet-skiing
The pals had a blast on their jet ski’s off the tropical beach of Playa Nacascolo.

Off-roading
Things began to get very adventurous when the pals took to off-roading at the Papagayo Peninsula in Palmares.

Rafting – and nearly drowning
Up until this point, Trevor Noah and his pals had a chilled vacation. But the group decided to turn it up a notch by going white-water rafting.
Needless to say, the ride was a bumpy one, with the raft capsizing, throwing the friends into the fast-moving river.
Anele documented her experience in a hilarious sequence of IG posts.
She shared: “Guys, as I was thrown off the raft…I was like, I’m good. Sizwe Dhlomo or Trevor Noah will get me.
“After what felt like forever under the water, when I got to open my eyes, who did I see in the water with me? You guessed it right, the guys I was banking on to pull me out of the water and save me. What an extraordinary experience”.
In another post, Anele revealed that the group had to be rescued by a professional who abseiled into a cave they had managed to climb into following the disastrous ride.
She continued: “After being rescued… This is like when your mom says smile after a hiding”.
In a third post, Anele shared pics of the moment she knew she was doomed.
She shared: “This part of the river is called “f*ck this s**t’. Pictures like this prove that my ancestors also have a visa”.
