South African-born comedian and The Daily Show host Trevor Noah has just announced that he will be embarking on a stand-up world comedy tour…but he won’t be setting foot on home soil.

The comedian shared the news and his excitement about his first comedy tour since the COVID-19 pandemic has hit the world on his Twitter account.

“I’m excited to announce my brand new Back To Abnormal World Tour with a special ticket presale going down tomorrow at 10 am. We are back, baby!”

His Back To Abnormal world tour will take place between September and December, according to his website.

WHY CALL IT A WORLD TOUR?

However, Mzansi was not impressed that the comedian will not be performing in South Africa with Noah only travelling through the US and then heading towards Europe for his tour.

South Africans were also puzzled as to why the comedian is labelling it a “world tour”.

They complained that they never imagined that their “own” Trevor Noah would snub them like some other international stars on their “world” tours.

When his followers called him out for excluding parts of the world, Noah said he will be adding more dates in future. But South Africa is still obvious in its absence…

“UK, Iceland, Ireland, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Germany, & Canada dates are already up on my website! Will be adding more world to the world tour soon. Stay tuned.”

MEETING BEYONCE AND JAY-Z

The award-winning comedian also trended last week when he posted a picture of himself fist-bumping the award-winning musician couple Jay-Z and Beyoncé.

The trio met at the playoff game between the Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks at the Barclays Centre.
