Travis Barker has credited his girlfriend Kourtney Kardashian for helping him conquer his fear of flying. The Blink 182 drummer flew alongside his reality TV partner for the first time since surviving a deadly plane crash in 2008.
The couple were visiting Cabo, Mexico for the weekend and documented their adventures on social media.
Travis Barker took to his own Instagram account to post a picture of the couple posing – in Notebook style – outside a private jet.
“With you anything is possible,” the tattooed star told his brunette bae.
“Anything and everything with you,” she responded.
Fans and friends of the couple gushed over the momentous occasion, including Kourtney’s sisters Kim and Khloe who heaped praise on the pair.
“Love conquers all,” commented Khloe, whilst Kim added; “The cutest ever”.
And the singer’s friends, including fellow musos Joel Madden, Benny Blanco and Ryan Tedder also stated how proud they were of him for his brave, bold move.
Travis Barker has come a long way since the plane crash in South Carolina, which killed four of the six passengers on board, including his personal assistant and his security guard.
Apart from the drummer, only one other passenger survived the crash – Travis’s friend DJ AM, who tragically died a year later from a drug overdose.
The singer was critically injured in the crash; his body had over 65% of third-degree burns which required him to spend months in hospital and undergo countless skin grafts.
If that wasn’t enough trauma, the guilt-ridden star even admitted to experiencing post-traumatic stress and even claimed in an interview that he was willing to pay his close friends $1 million to kill him and end his suffering.
“I stayed in burn centres for like the next four months. That feels like hell. I would call friends and go, ‘I’ll deposit $1million in whoever’s bank account.’ They had to take my phone out of my room,” he said in an ABC interview.
The star would later go on to write a memoir recounting the traumatic events, titled; Can I Say: Living Large, Cheating Death & Drums Drums Drums.
