Sportscaster Robert Marawa recounts his near-death experiences

Sportscaster Robert Marawa, who recently signed his sports show Marawa Sports Worldwide with 947, reflected on his near-death experiences on DJ Fresh’s Podcast WAW.

ROBERT MARAWA: ‘THERE HAVE BEEN ATTEMPTS ON MY LIFE’

TshisaLIVE reports that the sports personality Robert Marawa recounted his near-death experiences and claimed there had been attempts on his life.

The 947 host reportedly survived three heart attacks; “In 2008 he had a heart attack after a gym session, then collapsed at an event in 2013 and was also reportedly taken to a medical facility in 2017”, reports the publication.

Marawa set the record straight on the reports about having experienced three heart attacks and said he was hospitalised for a third time and almost lost his life.  

“I was not exaggerating. There have been attempts on my life. Even in the times when people were saying I was in hospital because of a heart attack and it was my third heart attack.

“I never had three heart attacks, but I ended up in ICU. The two were purely cardiac and health-related. That’s the one that was a direct threat to my life, but it was reported as a heart attack.

“Two heart attacks are scary. But I think that particular one made me feel like I was losing my life. I felt the presence of my life just being sucked away when I was there.”.

THE SPORTSCASTER’S RUMOURED RELATIONSHIP

Bona and Sunday World report that radio personality, reality TV star Thando Thabethe, and sportscaster Robert Marawa is rumoured to be dating after the pair were spotted looking all cosy on a date.

According to Sunday World, the pair have been spending a lot of time together, going on dinner dates with other friends, and reportedly spotted holding hands and looking very romantic.

Actress Thando Thabethe was rumoured to be dating The River star Lunga Shabalala, while was reportedly said to have been dating Durban Gen actress Nelisiwe Sibiya in 2022, according to Zalebs reports. 

Briefly reported that Marawa rubbished the dating rumours linking him and Thando romantically when he was contacted:

“I don’t know what you are talking about,” said Robert, who told the publication.
