This is how Terry is involved in the alleged fraud scheme, SIU says

Terry Pheto has denied any involved in the multimillion-rand fraud scheme involving the National Lottery Commission.

The Special Investigating Unit (SUI) has explained how Actress and producer Terry Pheto is involved in the alleged fraud scheme.

The multimillion rand fraud scheme is said to be relating to funding by the National Lotteries Commission.

MONEY USED FOR TERRY’S PROPERTY TRACED

According to Eye Witness News (EWN), the Spokesperson for the Special Investigating Unit, Kaizer Kganyago explains how Terry is implicated.

“Her name come into the fold when we were tracing the money and we ended up in this property that is owned by her and that is why her name is attached to this…

“..We were tracing the money that was supposed to have gone to an NPO, to other people, and ended up being used to buy the property that she owns.”

This comes after it was revealed On Friday 4 November that the SUI had obtained a preservation order from the North Gauteng High Court to seize assets worth over R50 million.

These include nine luxurious residential estates in Pretoria, Centurion, and Hartbeespoort valued at over R22 million.

Additionally, one BMW 420i convertible and two Ocean Basket franchises worth over R25 million were also under preservation.

TERRY DENIES INVOLVEMENT

On Saturday 6 November, the Bold And The Beautiful former actress issued a statement on her Twitter account denying any involvement to the alleged fraud scheme.

“I am dismayed to discover that I am the subject of a Special Investigating Unit (SIU) probe into allegations of fraud relating to funding by the National Lotteries Commission.

I deny any involvement in the alleged scheme that has been reported on,” Terry says.

The 41-year-old says, “I also had no prior knowledge of an application to obtain a preservation order against me and have had no sight of this order.

“I hold the law in high regard and will cooperate fully with the investigation in an open and transparent manner,” She says.

The 41-year-old says that this has been a difficult time for her.
