MINNIE ON TAKING HER SURNAME BACK

Minnie told the public that she and her former husband are still in the process of divorcing. She added that although she has already removed the surname Jones off all her social media, she has not legally changed back to Dlamini.

“I can’t wait to get my surname back, although I changed it on all my social media platforms. But it’s not official yet,” Minnie said.

RELATIONSHIP TIMELINE

When the ex-couple got married in 2017, they invited Mzansi to celebrate with them in a three-part wedding special on DSTV channel 1Magic.

The pair had a stunning white and traditional wedding that was attended by the country’s A-list celebrities.

Two years later, Minnie announced her pregnancy and in November 2020 they welcomed their son Netha Makhosini Jones who was named after the actresses’ late brother Makhosini Dlamini.

However, in February 2022, the couple announced that they has separated and will be divorcing.

“In the last 2 years our family has experienced incredible joy and devastating loss. During this time we found comfort in knowing we had each other,” the couple wrote.

“After months of separation and consultations and with our family and counsellor, we have taken the decision to officially file for divorce. Despite the end of our marriage and romantic relationship, we remain friends, business partners and loving parents to our beautiful son,” Quinton Jones and Minnie Dlamini wrote.

MINNIE SLAMS CHEATING CLAIMS

After announcing their divorce, Minnie was rumoured to have been the cause of the separation. The Honeymoon actress was accused of cheating with businessman Edwin Sodi.

However, she labelled the rumours “false, damaging and malicious” and that she and Jones will be taking legal action.

“Fabrications of such damaging manner are both unnecessary and hurtful in a matter that’s already sensitive to us.

“These baseless rumours affect not only us but our child,” she wrote in part.
