Initially, his fans were thinking that the mysterious man was Mohale. However, upon close inspection they learned that it is yet another bearded man who looks like Mohale.

The Idols SA judge made the headlines for the wrong reasons this year following his much-publicized divorce from his estranged husband Mohale Motaung. The former couple had been throwing jabs at each other on social media, but Somizi ruffled major feathers after he was accused of using the latest season of his reality show to bash Mohale.

He alleged that Mohale wanted 50% of his estate. He even called Mohale a “con artist, robber, and money heist.” Cracks started appearing in their marriage after Mohale accused Somizi of domestic violence. He made the shocking allegations in an exclusive interview with the producer of Living the Dream with Somizi– Legend Manqele. The abuse allegations tainted Somizi’s reputation as he lost numerous gigs, but his strong fanbase fought for him to reclaim his jobs.

In a jaw-dropping tell-all interview, Mohale: On the Record, the actor broke his silence and shared his own version of events. Mohale recounted a domestic spat he had with Somizi in which he was allegedly beaten and unable to walk by the Idols SA judge.

“The particular assault I am talking about was the one that took place in our home and for me, it was seeing that person in a way that I had never seen him before. He was angry at the fact that I went to work in Durban, and I remember coming from Durban and finding him sitting on the couch waiting for me and he immediately said where are you coming from and I said what do you mean because you know where I am come from,” he said.

“I remember he had a bottle of champagne in his hand and I was trying to take off the clothes I was wearing and he started spilling champagne on me. With me trying to find out what was going on he started beating me up and I remember him saying he needs to mess up my face because this beautiful face is messing things up for him and  I remember covering my face because the shoes he was wearing were going to damage my face,” Mohale continued.

“He started hitting me in the ribs and legs and I couldn’t walk. I crawled down the stairs at that point I believed my ribs were broken because I couldn’t move this part of my body and in doing that I reached for my car keys and I ran out.”

Despite his failed marriage to Mohale, Somizi expressed a desire to get married again on his reality show Living the Dream with Somizi.

“I want to get married at 50. The first time was a rehearsal,” he said while taking a jab at Mohale.
