‘I know my truth’: Somizi on the ‘Fake Gucci spotter’ [watch]

In true Somizi fashion, the media personality addressed allegations made by the so-called ‘Fake Gucci spotter’ on Instagram at the weekend.

Somizi Mhlongo was one of the few Mzansi celebs called out by the self-proclaimed “Fake Gucci spotter”, for rocking a khaki bucket hat. The media personality took to Instagram on Saturday to address his alleged “fake Gucci” item in an interesting way.

SOMIZI AND ‘FAKE GUCCI SPOTTER

Somizi was one of the celebs singled out by the anonymous Instagram page. The page goes by “Fake Gucci community”.

“Fake Gucci spotter” wrote: “Fake products from the Somizi. I hope you were just an innocent consumer who was scammed into thinking this was real. Either way, it’s fake!”

SOMIZI SETS THE RECORD STRAIGHT

The media personality took to his own Instagram page to respond to allegedly wearing a “fake Gucci” item. In true Somizi fashion, he went all out and took a video while at the Gucci store. 

“Usually I would ignore it because I know my truth, but I’ve worked so hard,” Somizi said. 

He asked one of the shop assistants to pull up his profile that had a record of all the items he has ever bought from the luxury clothing store. 

He put emphasis on the bucket hat he was called out for to set the record straight.

OTHER CELEBS CALLED OUT BY ‘FAKE GUCCI SPOTTER’  

Shaun Andile Naki, popularly known as Shaun Stylist, was nabbed by the “Fake Gucci spotter” a few times. 

According to “Fake Gucci spotter”, Shaun Stylist’s alleged “fake” Gucci items include a formal button-down, a fanny pack, a duffel bag, belts, shoes and a wallet.
