Podcast and Chill host Sol Phenduka touched quite a few nerves after he shared his opinion on the shooting of a businesswoman and a security boss outside a Bedfordview nursery school on Tuesday. According to Sol, having a bodyguard doesn’t make a difference if someone in the world wants you dead.

His sentiments come after local rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes was also killed in Durban almost two weeks ago also with his bodyguards present.

Sol Phenduka discusses bodyguards and assassinations

South Africans are still reeling over the passing of local rapper AKA who was shot and killed outside Wish restaurant in Durban.

Barely two weeks after his killing, a local businesswoman and a security boss were both shot and injured outside a creche in Bedfordview reports TimesLive.

Police spokesperson Lt-Col Mavela Masondo said the woman had dropped off her child when she was shot inside the creche yard. Her bodyguard — the owner of a private security company — who was parked outside of the creche, was shot by a different suspect.

According to the media personality, having a bodyguard is useless when someone really wants you dead.

“If we being honest .this Bedfordview story shows that Bodyguards are as good as useless. When people want you out it’s really impossible for a bodyguard to save you.”
