Musical artist Turquoise Miami confirmed the death of her four-year-daughter Lauren “Lolo” Maxwell with rapper Fetty Wap in a heartfelt Instagram post on Sunday 1 August.
The announcement of Lauren’s passing was not accompanied by any details surrounding her death leaving many questioning when and how she died.
Here are six questions unpacked surrounding the death of the four-year-old.
1. WHEN DID SHE DIE?
Following Fetty Wap’s performance at the Rolling Loud festival in Miami, the rapper took to his Instagram story to honor his late daughter saying “LoLo daddy did that s**t for you last night baby girl.” The festival took place between 23-25 July which means the little girl’s death isn’t as recent as her mom’s Instagram post.
According to The Sun, Lauren passed away on 24 June and her family commemorated her life with a private funeral in Fayetteville, Georgia over the fourth of July weekend.
2. HOW DID LAUREN DIE?
It has not yet been revealed how the child died. However, The Sun reported that her autopsy has since been completed and the results are expected to be released in the coming days.
3. WAS FETTY WAP AN ACTIVE FATHER?
Lauren’s mother publicly called out Fetty Wap more than once for not spending time with Lauren or contributing to her life financially or emotionally over the years.
However, since Lauren’s passing she asked people to be more compassionate towards the rapper as he complaints are from 2017-2019 and he has since played a more active role in her life.
“Our co-parenting had improved off the gram and we came to a better place for Lauren. He became more financially and emotionally responsible for her. He didn’t post her the same way I didn’t, because Lauren used to get a lot of disrespectful things said about her and I asked him not to,” said Turquoise Miami on her Instagram story.
4. WHO IS LAUREN’S MOTHER?
Lisa Miami, who goes by her stage name Turquoise Miami is the mother of Lauren. She is an American dancer and musical artist who is said to have been in a relationship with Fetty Wap at the time of Lauren’s birth. Turquoise Miami has removed all Instagram posts and tagged pictures and say’s she will not be replying to any direct messages at this time.
Turquoise Miami is not the only “baby mama” of Fetty Wap as he has four others – Ariel Reese, Lezhae Zeona, Masika Kalysha and Alexis Skyy.

5. HOW MANY CHILDREN DOES FETTY WAP HAVE?
Fetty Wap is a father of six. His first child is 10-year-old Aydin with ex-girlfriend Ariel Reese, followed by six-year-old Zaviera with Lezhae Zeona, five-year-old Amani with his ex-girlfriend Elayanna and in the same year he welcomed Khari Barbie with Masika Kalsyha.
Four-year-old Lauren was then born followed by his youngest child, three-year-old Zyheir who has the same mother as Zaviera, Lezhae Zeona.
6. WHAT DID FETTY WAP SAY ABOUT LAUREN’S DEATH?
Following Turquoise Miami’s tribute to Lauren on Sunday 1 August, Fetty Wap took to Instagram on Tuesday, 3 August to post a tribute to his daughter as well.
“Hey mini me (My Twin) ♥️???? …. “ I love you to the moon and back forever and ever bestfriend “???????? ????…,” wrote Fetty Wap on Instagram.
