Former SABC 1 TV presenter Zandi Nhlapo has joined the cast of e.tv’s popular soapie Imbewu: The Seed according to Daily Sun.

A source from the soapie has revealed that Nhlapo will make her debut appearance soon and has begun filming.

“It’s a done deal.”

“She has signed the contract with Imbewu: The Seed and her storyline is being developed.”

The media personality also hinted at her return to TV by posting a picture on her social media account and captioned the picture:

“In character. Meet…”

The actress’s daughter Ntando Zikalala also congratulated her mother on social media for scoring her TV role.

The media personality was criticised in August 2020 for publicly mourning her former fiancé and baby daddy Bob Mabena who was married at the time of his passing.

She posted a picture of herself and the late broadcaster and captioned the image:

“The passion in this relationship, even way after we parted.”

“We loved too hard and fought just as hard.”

Tweeps were concerned by her Instagram post as they felt she was disrespecting Mabena’s current wife.

“Just saw Zandi’s post about Bob’s passing away.”

“Ummm, angazi guys. Wasn’t he married?”

Nhlapo didn’t take the comments lying down and stated that she will not be bullied, coached, or policed into remembering her baby daddy.
