‘Shaka Ilembe’ fans took to social media on Sunday, 6 August to praise actor Vusi Kunene, who plays the role of a Tsonga king in the series.

Award-winning actor Vusi Kunene, who debuted in Shaka Ilembe on Sunday, 6 August impressed South Africans with his ability to speak Tsonga fluently.

The House of Zwide actor Vusi Kunene, who is famously known for speaking English and isiZulu in his TV roles impressed Shaka Ilembe viewers, where he portrays the role of a Tsonga king known as King Makhasana.
Kunene’s fans also revealed on social media that that the legendary actor is fluent in TshiVenda, Xitsonga and isiZulu.
He stars alongside Umkhokha: The Curse actress Hope Mbhele, who portrays the role of Baleka, who was a healer for the Mthethwa King Jobe and later King Makhasana of the Mabhudu.
In the episode, Baleka is seen pleading with King Makhasana to save Dingiswayo, who is a fugitive captured by the Tsonga tribe.
Mbhele’s character is King Dingiswayo’s (Thembinkosi Mthembu) love interest in the Mzansi Magic drama series.
