Sarah Ferguson came to his defence of her son-in-law, Jack Brooksbank after controversial photos of him on a boat in Capri were published.
After Princess Eugenie‘s husband Jack Brooksbank made headlines for partying on a yacht in Capri with other women, Sarah Ferguson called her son-in-law “a man of integrity.”
The Duchess of York came to the defence of her son-in-law saying that Brooksbank, who was on the front page of a popular publication, is “such a man of integrity”. This comes after the Daily Mail published photos showing Brooksbank aboard a traditional gozzo boat off the Amalfi Coast sipping on rosé and swimming in the Tyrrhenian Sea.
During an interview to promote her book, Her Heart for a Compass, Sarah said that “Brooksbank’s just one of my most favourite people. I call him James Bond, actually.”
She continued, “He’s just a superhero in my book, and he’s a great father, a fabulous husband, and he’s never in front of the house, he always likes to be at the back.”
According to People, Sarah attributed the photos to Brooksbank simply “doing his job” as a brand ambassador for Casamigos, the tequila company founded by George Clooney and Rande Gerber. Jack was in Italy for the Unicef Summer Gala.
The 61-year-old ex-wife of Prince Andrew also recently told People how “proud” she is of daughter Eugenie and son-in-law Brooksbank since they became first-time parents in February to son August.
“I’ve known Jack for 10 to 12 years now. So he’s like my son,” she said. “He is my son and all, but he’s like my son and I adore them both. And to see Eugenie and Jack being beautiful parents to little August, I’m really proud.”
August is Prince Andrew and Fergie’s (as she is popularly known) first grandchild. Their older daughter Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are also expecting their first child together soon.
