The Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, made a tentative return to royal duties alongside Prince William by sharing her first project update since she announced her cancer diagnosis in March.

KATE MIDDLETON RETURNS TO ROYAL DUTIES

To mark Mental Health Awareness Week, Prince William and Kate Middleton highlighted the psychological struggles young farmers face in a joint post. The pair shared a video on X, formerly known as Twitter, showing their work in a “special film.” While Kate did not appear in the video herself, the film was produced by her and Prince William.

Take a look…

“This #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek, we’ve brought together the inspirational Sam Stables from We Are Farming Minds and the brilliant Farmer Will for a very special film,” read the post.

“Spending a day together on Sam’s farm in Hereford, they chatted about mental health in the farming community, finding support and the Duchy of Cornwall’s Mental Health Strategy. Watch the film on YouTube from 12.30 pm BST today,” read the post.

The Independent reports that Kate’s work on the farming project began before her cancer diagnosis.

THE PRINCESS OF WALES REVEALED CANCER DIAGNOSIS IN MARCH

This marks Kate’s “return” to royal duties after she revealed her cancer diagnosis via an emotional video shared on Twitter on 22 March.

“In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London, and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous. The surgery was successful,” she said as she is seen seated on a garden bench at Windsor Castle.

In her speech, Princess Kate revealed that she is undergoing preventative chemotherapy.

“However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present. My medical team, therefore, advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy, and I am now in the early stages of that treatment,” she continued.

Kate explained that she and her husband, Prince William, had been managing the news privately for the sake of their young family. This was a reference to her children. Kate and William have three kids together – Prince George (10), Princess Charlotte (8), and Prince Louis (5).

“This, of course, came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family. As you can imagine, this has taken time. It has taken me time to recover from major surgery in order to start my treatment,” she said.

This comes as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary just days after their trip to Nigeria.
