He owns over 100 luxury vehicles and even has a hit song about Aston Martins, but sadly Rick Ross can’t drive any of them. Until now, that is…

The 45-year-old rapper has finally gotten his driver’s licence and it’s all thanks to his mom.

‘MY MOM PRESSURED ME TO TAKE THE TEST’

The Miami-based musician claims that he was “pressured” into taking the test after years of driving without a licence.

He said in an interview with Today: “My mom and my sister pressured me, finally. So, I went and took the test. It took me an hour…You know, I missed a few answers, but I got it.”

Rick Ross – whose real name is William Leonard Roberts II – claims that he avoided getting tickets for illegal driving by charming police officers who pulled him over.

“It’s something about my smile. Every time I get pulled over, by the time the officers walked up…They like, ‘Go ‘head, Rozay. We know you good’.”

CUTTING COSTS: RICK ROSS MOWS HIS OWN LAWN

One machine Rick Ross does have the authority to drive is his tractor, which he operates on his 45 000 acre mega mansion in Georgia.

The star claimed that while he may have millions of dollars in his bank account, he still tries to save money wherever he can – like cutting his own grass!

He told Forbes magazine: “When I get in the tractor, it’s a whole other level of peace, a whole other level of connecting with the estate and the animals and the birds and the wildlife.

“I look at the property and can appreciate my struggles and my triumphs, those rough days. It’s the smallest thing, but it keeps a smile on my face. So, you know, for anybody who doesn’t cut their own grass, I would say take time out every two or three months to cut your grass because it is such a great and peaceful sensation.”

The frugal star – who penned autobiography The Perfect Day to Boss Up: A Hustler’s Guide to Building Your Empire – revealed that he still does other “ordinary” tasks like flying commercial (economy in South Africa), buying vintage pieces from antique stores and frequenting “swap meet” events.
