‘RHOD reunion’: Teary Nonku not ’emotionally okay’ to discuss RD

Businesswoman Nonku Williams was very emotional when Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD) reunion host, MaBlerh, questioned her about her relationship with RD – real name Dumisani Ndlazi.

NONKU SAYS SHE SAW A DIFFERENT SIDE TO RD

The former couple started dating last year, but their relationship was riddled with scandals about the businessman’s past.

However, a love-struck Nonku told Zimoja in February that she will stick by her man no matter the criticism.

RD, who also appeared a couple of times on the show, was accused of scamming women. In addition, he was arrested for rape in 2014, according to an article by the Zululand Observer. A statement by the South African Police Services (SAPS) in 2016 revealed he was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Although cagey about her relationship, Nonku was willing to answer some burning questions about RD – whom she says she broke up with approximately two months ago.

“He told me he was arrested for rape… he was arrested for five, six months,” she told MaBlerh during the reunion.

When asked why she allowed a man who has a criminal past to meet her teenage daughter, Nothile Ncwane, she said: “I saw somebody. I fell in love with him. I saw a side to him that a lot of people didn’t see.”

‘EMOTIONALLY SWINDLED’

However, the more MaBlerh asked questions, the more Nonku cracked and became emotional.

When he asked if she felt “emotionally swindled” by her ex, she broke down, saying she is not emotionally okay to talk about her failed relationship.

The question was motivated by reports made by a source to Zimoja last month, claiming that the couple had been doing business together in which they applied for a tender business and when the money came in, RD reportedly stole it all and left Nonku “high and dry.”

Nonku did not want to address the scamming allegations, citing legal reasons.
