Eminem goes the whole 8 Mile(s) with Mom’s Spaghetti restaurant
Mama Mia! Eminem is still stirring the pot of his hit song ‘Lose Yourself’. The rapper-turned-restaurateur will soon be opening Mom’s Spaghetti named after the popular lyrics in the song.

If you’re a 90s baby then you’re probably familiar with US rapper Eminem’s 2002 single, Lose Yourself. The song became popular after it was featured in the movie 8 Mile and it seems it’s been on his mind ever since. In a bizarre advert, he shared that he will be opening a restaurant called Mom’s Spaghetti which comes from some of the lyrics in the song.
Mom’s Spaghetti: Eminem turns hit song into restaurant
Award-winning rapper Eminem just announced that he will be opening a Mom’s Spaghetti restaurant in Detroit and judging by hundreds of online comments, people can’t wait for it to happen!
The restaurant is named after a few of the lyrics in his song Lose Yourself that goes: “His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy / There’s vomit on his sweater already, mom’s spaghetti.”
One might’ve seen it coming after the artist did a pop-up Mom Spaghetti food joint at music festival Coachella in 2018. Last year, he was also thanked by frontline workers at the Henry Ford Hospital after he gifted them with spaghetti cups that had the Mom’s Spaghetti logo on them.
“Our #HealthcareHeroes “lost themselves” in the delicious Mom’s Spaghetti donated by Detroit’s very own, @eminem. Thank you for providing a special meal for our team members!” read a post made on the hospital’s Instagram page.

Bizarre marketing tactics
An advert of the rapper vomiting a Chinese takeaway box with the Mom’s Spaghetti logo on it was shared on a local Detroit TV channel.
The ad also shows a snippet of the spaghetti-based meals that will be served at the restaurant.
According to LadBible, the restaurant will be opening at 2131 Woodward Ave, Detroit, on 29 September this year. They also reported that the restaurant is part of a partnership with Union Joints restaurant group, a company he previously did his Mom’s Spaghetti pop-ups with.
The internet cannot wait for a taste
The news received a lot of reactions from Eminem fans who seemingly can’t wait to get their hands on a meal from Mom’s Spaghetti. Here are some of their comments:

Meanwhile, some fans are unconvinced and think that the ad may just be a stunt for an upcoming album. Guess we’ll all have to wait and see.
