RASTA PAINTS QUEEN ELIZABETH – IS IT ANY GOOD?

With news of Queen Elizabeth’s death topping the Twitter trends list, so did Rasta and his artwork of the royal.

The Zimbabwean-born painter produced a portrait of the monarch wearing a pink suit, matching hat, and pair of black gloves

“Rasta is too fast, the Queen’s death was announced only 10 minutes ago!”, quipped one tweep of the artist’s quick fingers.

But was it any good? Here’s what tweeps have to say about it

@sam_mashiloane: “He had no business getting it right. He is not reading the room”

@LeadAutonomous: “Rasta gets it right when he draws racists. First, it was De Klerk now its Queen Lizzy”

@Acwengi72187437: “It’s not bad you know”

@VictorMkhaliphi: “So Rasta’s paintings of white people are 100x better than those of black people? Crazy”

WILL HE VISIT THE PALACE?

Meanwhile, Rasta is asking for donations from his followers for him to fly to the UK to paint another portrait of Queen Elizabeth amid funeral proceedings.

He tweeted from his official account: “Let’s donate for his flight to go paint at the funeral service in London at her rest place”.
