Soccer fans were left in stitches after a video of Royal AM chairman and player Andile Mpisane’s showboating skills.

A video of the football player — who is also a musician and the son of the football club’s president, Shauwn “MaMkhize” Mkhize — has gone viral.

In the clip, Andile seems to be having the time of his life on the pitch as his team played against fellow KwaZulu-Natal club, Golden Arrows, in the Diski Challenge on Saturday, 18 February.

Despite, the Makhwapheni hitmaker’s skills, the match ended in a 1-1 draw for MaMkhize’s reserve side.

The 21-year-old soccer player finally got some game-time when the Royal AM reserve side went head-to-head with another KZN club, AmaZulu FC, on 4 February, in a match that also ended 1-1.

As per the norm, fans trolled Andile for his weight as they called him unfit. While others continued to accuse him of only making it into the starting line-up because the club belongs to his multi-millionaire mother.

However, on a positive note, Andile impressed some fans with his setpiece skills after he took a freekick just minutes before being substituted.

MaMkhize has previously addressed the naysayers during her interview with sportscaster Andile Ncube on Metro FM’s Sports Night Amplified in September last year.

“There is one thing people don’t know about Andile, as much as he is my son, he goes to training like every player. He trains with the team and Andile is the one who brought me into soccer because of his love for football. I used to cheer for him when he used to play at AmaZulu,” she told Ncube.
