It’s been nearly  a decade since Paul Walker tragically died in a car crash and 6 years since we last saw him on screen in a Fast & Furious movie.

But the actor’s character Brian O’Conner  – who last physically appeared in 7th instalment of the action-packed saga-  may have a future in storylines to come.

WILL BRIAN RETURN TO FAST & FURIOUS?

Whilst Paul Walker sadly died in 2013, producers of Fast & Furious decided to keep his character alive in the film, as a special tribute to him.

F&F saw him ride into the sunset – where he officially “retired” to live a life in suburbia and raise his kids with wife Mia Toretta, played by actress Jordana Brewster.

In real life, Paul Walker’s brothers Cody and Caleb helped film his remaining scenes in the action drama with the help of computer-generated imagery (CGI).

And whilst he has never physically appeared in any films, Brian continues to be written into each Fast & Furious storyline.

And Jordana would like to keep it that way too.

She told PA news agency: “I would love Brian to remain alive in the universe. Brian remaining alive within the Fast & Furious universe is the best way of honouring Paul.

“Hopefully we continue to have these beautiful nods to him, I think those are the best way to honour him.”

Asked what she thought about Paul Walker’s daughter Meadow Walker possibly joining the series in the future, Jordana responded: “I think it would be really cool – if she wants to. Now she’s this supermodel and her career’s taking off and that’s really, really cool and I’m super proud of her.

“But it’s up to what she wants to do and whether she wants to be a part of it.”

PAUL WALKER: ‘I DON’T WANT TO DIE AS SUPERMAN’

Meanwhile, it has been revealed that Paul Walker turned down a role to star as DC Comics hero Superman.

After starring in his first Fast & Furious role in 2001, the actor was approached to audition for the role, which later went on to Brandon Routh, who played the character in the 2006 film Superman Returns.

The late star revealed why he rejected the role said in a recently unearthed interview from 2003.

He told Timeline:  “We [Superman director Richard Donner and I] had conversations and by the end of it, the closing thing I said: ‘Do you think I need it, should I do it?’ [Donner] said: ‘For what sake?’ I said: ‘Financially.’

“I said: ‘Well I don’t think I want to die as Superman.’ And [Donner] said: ‘Well there’s your answer, don’t do it.’ And that was it.”
