Ntsiki Mazwai literally frees the nipple in latest post, leaves SA shook

South African poet and activist Ntsiki Mazwai is all about ruffling feathers and her favourite platform to do it on is Twitter. This time, instead of using her controversial opinion to shock people, she used a photo of herself bare-chested on the beach wearing only the bottom part of her bikini.

Naturally, the snap sent shockwaves on the app and resulted in a number of people heading to the comment section to ask Mazwai what was going on.

Others however commended her for being as liberal as she is.

38-year-old Ntsiki Mazwai is all for women empowerment and fighting gender stereotypes.

Always lending her voice to issues that affect women such as rape, sexual abuse, and other kinds of abuse, Ntsiki has become quite the activist on social media.

She just reasserted her views about women and their freedom on Twitter after she took to the app to share a snap of herself bare-chested.

The photo, shared on 3 July Sunday morning last week, was captioned:

“How I show up when they thought they had killed my spirit….. SANIBONANI”

Chaos ensues

As expected, the post went viral as many people headed to the comment section to share their thoughts.

While a bulk of the replies were inappropriate comments by men, a number of people commented on her liberal attitude and how it reinforces the need for women to stop being sexualised by society.

Others however slammed the post in an attempt to seek attention.
