Taking to Instagram earlier this week, Nota accused a number of people — including Zungu — of setting the Lemonade rapper up during his visit to Durban on 10 February last week.

After getting threatened with legal action by Zungu’s representatives, Nota quickly retracted his statement in an official apology letter which he shared on his Instagram.

“There was no valid basis for me to attempt to link AmaZulu Football Club, Mr Sandile Zungu as well as entities and persons associated with them to the unfortunate killing of Mr Forbes. Furthermore, the allegation that Mr Sandile Zungu threatened the lives of Mr Forbes and his friends is untrue,” read an excerpt from the apology.
