South African veteran TV presenter Nimrod Nkosi has been catching smoke on social media after he opened up about his side hustle – selling products out of his boot. The product Nimrod sells is sanitary pads – and locals are not impressed. After reading about the business venture, many social media users have slammed the former Jam Alley presenter for selling pads instead of donating them to women and young girls who simply cannot afford the much-needed product.

Nimrod earlier opened up about how he turned to the side hustle after COVID-19 hit South Africa and had a devastating impact on the livelihoods of millions of people.

Nimrod Nkosi trolled for selling pads instead of donating it

Well-known TV presenter Nimrod Nkosi has received a bit of negative attention on social media after he revealed that he sells sanitary pads called Long Rich from the back of his luxury Mercedes Benz G63.

Speaking to The Star, Nimrod revealed that he resorted to selling intimate feminine products after COVID-19 resulted in many people taking pay cuts and having to find alternative forms of income.

“Covid caught us off guard and it showed us that we should always have access to planning and saving. Some of my colleagues in the industry are in property and we are now realising that we can bring more income into our streams,” Nimrod told the publication.

The Amabishop presenter also opened up about mentoring young people and inviting them for business“talks”.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions?

While Nimrod maintains that he is serious about his business and has even taken some time to study the female anatomy and its needs, social media users have criticised him for choosing to sell the products.

According to multiple tweets, the presenter should rather be donating it to communities in need.

Others have backed his decision and commended him for spotting a gap in the market and efficiently filling it.
