Nene Leakes’ son Brentt suffers heart attack and stroke at 23
Brentt Leakes is still having a hard time speaking after a frightening medical emergency sent him to the hospital in Atlanta.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Nene Leakes has revealed that her son, Brentt Leakes suffered a heart attack and a stroke earlier this month.
TMZ reported that sources with direct knowledge told them that Brentt was in Atlanta when he suffered the stoke and a heart attack. “Luckily, we’re told Brentt was quickly transported to a local hospital for medical attention”.
“Our sources say while Brentt was hospitalized for several days, he’s now out and rehabbing … and everyone is hopeful he will make a full recovery,” said TMZ.

In a video shared by TMZ, Nene explained to her loved ones and friends what the situation has been with Brentt, emphasising that she did not want the news to come out the way it did.
The TV personality said they wanted to talk about it when Brentt was in a better place, “I would rather the correct thing be out there than something that’s not correct”

“Two weeks ago today, Brentt had congestive heart failure and a stroke. He’s only 23 so he’s really young for something like that to happen to him”
The widow said the first thing that Doctors think of “when someone that age comes in with that kinda condition is maybe they have done drugs or maybe they have some serious infection. Maybe HIV or some sort of infection…”.

Nene continued and said that Brentt does not drink or do drugs but the Doctors have conducted all those tests.
“They were thinking that maybe he had caught Covid and that he didn’t know that he had Covid. It was very scary.”
The RHOA alumni said she did not want to divulge the details of what happened that led to the diagnosis but Brentt is struggling with speaking.
