Mandla shades Meghan again: ‘It’s always about the money’
Mandla Mandela has compared his grandfather to the late Princess Diana, and claims Prince Harry’s wife Meghan Markle is the ‘opposite’.

Days after putting Meghan Markle on blast for repeating controversial comments comparing her wedding to his grandfather Nelson Mandela’s prison release, Mandla has fired shots at the royal again.
This time, the humanitarian and Mvezo Traditional Council chief accused Meghan of using her fame for monetary gain.
He also compared his grandfather to Prince Harry’s mother, insisting Meghan was the “opposite”.

‘IT’S ALWAYS ABOUT THE MONEY’
Speaking on the UK’s GB News, Mandla Mandela discussed recent comments made by Meghan about her attendance of the Lion King premiere in London in 2019.
Mandla was referring to Meghan’s interview with The Cut on Monday 29 August, where she claimed that one of the production cast members approached her and revealed how South Africans had “likened” her royal wedding to a historically significant moment in the country.
She said in her interview: “He looked at me, and he’s just like light. He said, ‘I just need you to know: When you married into this family, we rejoiced in the streets the same we did when Mandela was freed from prison”.
Having previously condemned the royal for comparing Nelson Mandela’s release to “marrying a white prince”, Mandla revealed just how different his grandfather and Meghan were.
Speaking to host Dan Wootton, he said: “Meghan had such an opportunity to use her platform to actually further the causes that Mandela was so passionate about but also that Princess Diana was passionate about”.
“To me, the thing about Diana and Mandela was never actually about feathering their own nest. They didn’t care about making millions of pounds.
He added: “They cared about wider humanity. The problem I have is when I look at Meghan, it always seems about the money…to me that was the opposite of Mandela, the opposite of Diana.”
“Look at Dalai Lama, look at Mother Teresa, the extent of my grandfather, they were never driven by money…”

MANDLA TO ‘EMBRACE’ PRINCE HARRY – WHAT ABOUT MEGHAN?
Mandla Mandela added that he holds no ill will towards the royals – particularly Prince Harry.
He said: “On two occasions, when Prince Harry came to South Africa, I met with him in Cape Town to ring out his philanthropic work but I have also been able to meet him in Durban when he was taking care of an HIV awareness campaign.
He added: “We can assure you that any given opportunity when Harry comes to South Africa, we are always available to embrace him and assist in upholding, in particular, his mother’s legacy.”
