‘Every day is harder’: Nadia says she’s not coping with AKA’s death

‘Saying it hurts doesn’t explain the level of this pain,’ wrote Nadia Nakai in one of many posts dedicated to her late boyfriend AKA.

South African musician and businesswoman Nadia Nakai is struggling to come to terms with the passing of her boyfriend AKA. The rapper — real name Kiernan Jarryd Forbes — was killed outside Wish on Florida Road in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal last month. Nadia and AKA had been dating for over a year before his untimely passing.

Taking to her Instagram page Nadia shared how badly she is dealing with his death, according to her, things are not getting better as she goes through the grieving process.

Nadia Nakai not taking AKA’s death any easier

Soon it will be a month since local hitmaker AKA was killed. The 35-year-old Company rapper was assassinated execution-style outside a Durban eatery on 10 February this year.

His death came as a shock to his millions of fans who struggle to make sense of the murder.

Those closest to AKA have naturally taken his passing even harder – his girlfriend Nadia Nakai in particular. Nadia has taken to Instagram to dedicate a number of posts to her late love which have broken many hearts.

In her latest post, Nadia says that time is not easing the pain.

“This pain is just too much to bare, everyone says it’s something I will learn to live with. I just don’t believe it. Every day it just gets worse. I don’t know how to deal with this. Saying it hurts doesn’t explain the level of this pain,” she wrote.

She also added that there is a “hole in her heart” that will never be filled. Take a look at the heartbreaking post below:

Warm words and well wishes

Many people flocked to the comment section to try and console Nadia. A lot of them shared kind words with the rapper who they say will heal son.
