Twitter blogger Musa Khawula has come under fire several times for making outrageous claims about some of Mzansi’s A-listers including influencer Mihlali Ndamase and media personality Lerato Kganyago

In April, Twitter user @BadubeS accused Musa Khawula of allegedly murdering photographer Wandile Khambule. Speaking to Sunday World about the alleged ordeal, Khambule’s partner said Khambule pleaded with Khawula not to kill him.

In an interview with Sunday World, Sweetness Japhta recalled that Khawula arrived at her Vredenburg residence on 4 March in the Western Cape and demanded to speak to her romantic partner, Wandile Khambule.

“Khambule refused to speak to him and said he was not interested in what he wanted to say because he was not interested in him romantically. I then asked them to go [and] speak outside because there were other people in the house,” she recalled.

Moments after the Khambule and Khawula left the house to speak, Japtha heard screaming and rushed outside. She claimed that she saw Khawula chasing after Khambule with a big knife and stabbing him in his chest and back. Japhta also claimed that the controversial Twitter blogger allegedly bit and chewed Khambule’s lip.

“I remember his last words before he died, he begged and pleaded with Khawula to forgive him if he had done anything wrong. I then asked Khawula what my partner and done to him and he said ‘this is our dog and I have killed him.’”

According to Western Cape police spokesperson Frederick van Wyk, a murder case had been opened against a 29-year-old suspect for Khambule’s murder.

“According to reports, Vredenburg police responded to a complaint of person that was stabbed on 4 March 2022 at 19:36 at the premises in Goud Street, Ongegund, Vredenburg,” said van Wyk.

“On their arrival on the scene, they found a male laying on the ground with a stab wound to his stomach. He was only dressed in black pants and black tekkies.”

Van Wyk also confirmed that the suspect made his first court appearance on 7 March and was due to return on 6 June.

When asked for a comment by Sunday World, Musa Khawule hung up the phone.
