VIEWERS ‘ARE TIRED OF SOMIZI’

Although the season is old, as it already aired on Showmax last year, fans have expressed that they are tired of seeing the media personality on their screens; more so as he will be addressing the abuse allegations levelled against him by his ex-partner, Mohale Motaung.

“SA television likes shoving the same people and shows down our throats. If we aren’t watching shows with crime, violence, witchcraft or sex, they will definitely give us a show with Somizi. I’m sick!” said one Twitter user.

“Somizi has nudes or dirt on someone ko DSTV because they keep on giving him the cheque,” another tweep said.

While aanother wrote: “One thing about DSTV, they will run Somizi a cheque.”

NOT THE FIRST TIME

This is not the first time that there has been backlash after the Idols SA judge bags a gig. In April, netizens were fuming after he landed the judging (or detective) role on Anele Mdoda’s SA rendition of popular American reality TV series titled The Masked Singer.

However, it’s more than just Somizi landing multiple gigs on TV, for some, he should be cancelled all together because of the of his alleged previous crimes.

Tweeps have again resurfaced Somizi’s 2008 case as reported by SowetanLIVE in which the Randburg Magistrate’s Court found him guilty of indecent assault. In addition, Somizi’s divorce from his “ex-husband” Mohale Motaung was riddled with abuse allegations.
