Last year almost all of South Africa was been buzzing after Twitter influencer Mr Smeg scored a date with the gorgeous local actress Pearl Thusi. Many were left disappointed when the live-streamed date amounted to nothing and Mr Smeg was back to asking beautiful ladies out on dates once again.

It appears the handsome bachelor has scored another high-profile date — this time with singing sensation Makhadzi.

Mr Smeg — real name Michael Bucwa — gained overnight fame with his funny tweets and hilarious infatuation with his pricey red Smeg kettle.

His unusual selfies with his kettle made him quite popular and soon he was featured on shows like Afternoon Express.

His popularity even helped him score a date with Queen Sono actress Pearl Thusi which South Africans were able to watch on a YouTube live stream.

A date with Makhadzi

And now things are looking up for the eligible bachelor who just scored a date with Ghanama hitmaker Makhadzi.

Smeg first complimented the singer and then asked her out and she responded:

“Let’s set a date of 08 April I will take you to my show , I want you to see how is done :white_check_mark: on stage. , my Venda people will be happy to see their mukwasha for the first time at RABALI STADIUM :stadium: FOR THE FIRST TIME, make sure you come  mukwasha :face_holding_back_tears:.”

To which Smeg responded, “National date loading.”

Many of the pair’s fans loved to see what was transpiring on their timelines and wondered if this too will be live-streamed.

Guess we all have to wait for April to see.
