No doubt, Mzansi has been trying to connect the dots on Thoshan Panday’s net worth after he was fingered as the ring leader of the Fifa World Cup corruption scandal in Durban.

Panday has been topping trends after he was implicated in a nasty corruption scandal that saw R165 million in assets being seized from him, family members and several South African Police Services officers.

The Citizen reports that the Durban business mogul masterminded the swindling of R47.3 million from the SAPS in a corruption scandal during the Fifa Soccer World Cup 2010, which South Africa hosted.

In the wake of his involvement, many have been trying to connect the dots on his supposed riches, which has often seen him topping trends in recent years.

He has undoubtedly managed to keep his private life under wraps, and his net worth is disclosed despite many claiming that he is a multimillionaire.

He was an insurance broker before becoming a fully fletched businessman in his own right. After all, it seems he is a jack of all trades and master of all.

IOL reports that before they moved from Pietermaritzburg to Durban, with his brother, he ran an automobile company that sold high-end cars, including Porches, Lamborghinis and more. They also ran Panday’s Tiling Contractors.

However, Thoshan has an impressive car collection that costs a fortune. In 2016, reports had it that he had a chopper and was always parked at his mansion at Blenheim Court, Umhlanga Ridge, which spans more than 8 000 square meters, according to IOL.

The property was worth more than R14 million, according to reports.

Reports also have it that he co-owns the multimillion Palm Boulevard complex in Aurora Drive, Umhlanga Ridge, with his brother.

In 2016 it was reported that he had shares in Kasseev Traders, which supplies the SAPS firearms and ammunition.

In 2017 Panday’s Homeford Drive home was pounced by armed robbers who got away with a fortune.

Reports have it that the robbers escaped with 17 designer handbags, a Rolex watch valued at R50 000 and a safe with an undisclosed amount of cash and a gun.
