‘SISTERS FOR LIFE’

Natasha – who is Miss South Africa 2020’s 2nd runner-up, revealed that her highlight was participating in an international pageant.

She said: “My favourite moment would be going to Miss Universe and representing South Africa, but also having these two by my side. I’m so proud of us, I’ve made sisters for life and memories of a lifetime.”

First runner-up Thato – who represented SA at Miss Supranational – discovered and embraced more of herself during her year of reign.

She added: “Me realising how I’m such a better person in terms of confidence, what I stand for and who I am. I remember entering Miss South Africa thinking my goofiness was a weakness, but in actual fact it was my strength.

“I loved that the Miss South Africa journey preparing for an international pageant you get to grow and explore more of who you are, and you leave as a more confident woman.”

Looking back at all these precious moments with our Triplets ???? The sisterhood is an unwavering bond!✨ #misssa2020 #misssouthafrica #faceyourpower #embraceyourfuture

And Shudu – who will hand over the crown to her successor on Saturday night – revealed that the journey has now made her see herself, and other women, in a new, positive light.

“My favourite moment of the Miss South Africa journey had to be the relationships I made. I think we underestimate the beauty of how we are relational beings, so the final stage was my favourite because I gained sisters, best friends and had the time of my life. The love between us and the Miss SA family is beautiful and to build us as well.

“The person I entered when I was Miss SA is not the person I am now. I have more goals that are aligned with not only my empowerment but also the empowerment of all women”.

What a journey it has been for our TOP 3!???????????? They have taken on the Universe and became Supranational! Now the world awaits!???? We are immensely proud to have Shudufhadzo Musida, Thato Thelma Mosehle and Natasha Joubert be part of the Miss SA sisterhood! ✨ They have surely stepped into their power and embraced their future and raised the South African flag High! ???????? #misssa2020 #misssouthafrica #faceyourpower #embraceyourfuture

MISS SOUTH AFRICA 2020: ‘THANK YOU FOR ACCEPTING ME

Shudufhadzo also shared a montage of her year as Miss South Africa, where she championed the plight of mental health and women empowerment as her focus.

She also thanked the country as well as her colleagues for their support.

“It takes a village to raise a child, and I just want to thank South Africa for being my village. Thank you so much for engaging with me, supporting me and accepting me. I love you so much,” she said in a clip.

A year ago Shudufhadzo Musida took on the Miss South Africa stage and proclaimed her mission statement to South Africa “I will mobilise a mindful movement.” She didn’t only mobilise a mindful movement but she embodied it!
