If Meghan Markle accepts any invitations to the annual Met Gala spectacular, she might be accused of “hypocrisy,” according to a royal pundit.

On May 1, at the glamorous gala in New York, the Duchess of Sussex could make her well-publicised debut alongside a number of Hollywood A-listers.

A-list celebrities, such as Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Madonna, and Rihanna, frequently attend the enormous fashion extravaganza that Anna Wintour of Vogue magazine organises and oversees.

The former Suits actress’ potential appearance at the glamorous event has generated a lot of speculation, but if she goes, she risked receiving a harsh response.

Rita Panahi, a host for Sky News Australia, stated this during a chat with Caroline Di Russo, another host:

“This is being called another example of her hypocrisy. The Duchess is apparently going to be making her Met Gala debut. That is strange behaviour for someone who supposedly values their privacy and just wants to live a simple life.”

According to Di Russo, Meghan Markle is perhaps most skilled at hypocrisy. She, nor anybody else, is surprised by this.

The outburst follows claims that if Meghan and Harry are granted invitations to this year’s Met Gala, it will cause “epic drama” and a barrage of headlines.

A renowned celebrity PR specialist has shot down suggestions that the pair won’t go, despite increased speculation in recent weeks over whether they would be invited.

Five days before King Charles III’s coronation at Westminster Abbey in London, which Harry has said he would attend, the A-list spectacle takes place on May 1.

Meghan will stay home in Montecito, California, with the couple’s two young children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, instead of travelling across the Atlantic.

However, there have also been rumours that Harry and Meghan may be “snubbed” at this year’s Met Gala because of their first accusations against the Royal Family.

Mr James feels it is still unclear if the Sussexes will attend the Met Gala, despite the widespread belief that they will be eager to do so given the prestigious nature of the occasion.
