Mampintsha’s sister shares mom Zamanguni Gumede’s last words

Mampintsha’s sister Pinki has shared her mother Zamanguni Gumede’s last words following her passing on Sunday at the age of 64.

Mampintsha’s sister Pinki Gumede has opened up after the passing of her mother Zamanguni Gumede on Sunday 15 January.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE, Pinki shared her mother’s last words and details about her illness.

Zamanguni’s passing comes less than a month after the Big Nuz member’s death. The Umlilo hitmaker died on 24 December after suffering a minor stroke.

PINKI SHARES HER MOTHER’S LAST WORDS

Confirming Zamanguni’s passing, Pinki said that her mother died at Wentworth Hospital, Durban, at 23:00.

“She called us at 10pm to come visit her at the hospital, me and my children. When we arrived she said she wanted to say her last goodbyes. She left us at 11pm.”

Pinki also shared her mother’s last words.

“She held our hands and gave us all a message. She said she was saying goodbye. Her last words to me were that I should look after the children and she will miss Mampintsha’s son.

“She said there was no time. She told us she loved us and we should look after ourselves. She said that she was very tired”.

A heartbroken Pinki also said: “I don’t know why they have left me. I am not okay.”

ZAMANGUNI GUMEDE HAD TB

Following her son’s burial, Zamanguni was hospitalised. According to Pinki, who spoke to Zimoja at the time, her mom could no longer walk or talk.

Last week, she confirmed that the doctors had diagnosed her with TB.

“Last week she could not walk or speak, today she looks much better. She is definitely getting better. She is eating and taking medication. We just need results so she can be able to take the correct treatment for the specific TB.We will know after receiving the new batch of blood tests,” she said.
