MaMkhize on being bed-ridden while dealing with ‘life-threatening illness’

South African reality TV star and businesswoman Shauwn ‘MaMkhize’ Mkhize has opened up about being diagnosed with a life-threatening illness.

South African reality TV personality and businesswoman MaMkhize revealed that she was recently bedridden after being diagnosed with a life-threatening condition. Taking to Instagram on Sunday 1 August 2021, MamMkhize explained in a lengthy post how she was forced to take a break from the spotlight for a while.

MaMkhize has a near-death experience

The reality TV star, businesswoman and owner of local soccer team Royal AM, Shauwn Mkhize who is fondly known as ‘MaMkhize’, recently opened up about finding out that she had high blood pressure.

In a lengthy Instagram post, the mom of two shares that she had been bedridden for the last few weeks after she suddenly started feeling under the weather. According to her post, she then discovered that she had high blood pressure and was subsequently forced to take a step back to recover.

“The past week has really been a challenging one. I’ve had to deal with some life-threatening health issues.”

“During my recovery, I really just had to go offline, rest, reset and realign my priorities. One word of advise I’d like to share is for us to not take our health for granted and to listen to our bodies! I went from being well one day to being bedridden diagnosed with high blood pressure the next,” reads part of her post.

She finishes off the pot by encouraging her fans and followers to prioritise their health and safety. She also writes how she is feeling much better and is now taking her health goals more seriously than ever.
