In a touching video, Shauwn Mkhize, popularly known as MaMkhize, remembered her late mother, Florence Mkhize.

It’s been nearly 25 years since the former ANC heavyweight and apartheid activist passed away in 1999. Since then, it’s been a tough time for her daughter.
Undoubtedly, the late Florence Mkhize had been a pillar of strength to MaMkhize in her childhood – and that’s why she remembers her. Florence was a strong woman who paved the way for many successful women in South Africa in business and politics.

She was the kind of person who would never give up, and she left some of her character in her successful daughter MaMkhize. Indeed, Shauwn has managed to take over from where her mother left off. Certainly, Florence must be a proud mother.
MAMKHIZE REMEMBERS HER LATE MOTHER, FLORENCE MKHIZE, ON FREEDOM DAY
Florence did a lot for South Africa to help gain its freedom. She is one of the pillars South Africa stands on, and remembering her today, on Freedom Day in Mzansi, is personal to MaMkhize.

Taking notes from her mother, MaMkhize has grown into a very successful businesswoman and is enjoying the fruits of freedom. Indeed, it was Florence’s dream to see her daughter succeed.
Expressing her gratitude, MaMkhize acknowledged that her mother might not be physically there, but she watches her, especially as she remembers her.

Freedom Day comes at a good time for the Royal AM owner. A few days ago, she was celebrating launching her book My World My Rules.
