Social media personality Lasizwe Dambuza played the “scholarship” prank on his older brother Lungile Mcunu via an IGTV video on 25 August, calling him a “male prostitute” and he was not pleased, to say the least.

LASIZWE PRANKS LUNGILE

Lasizwe Dambuza took to his Instagram story to ask his followers if he should do the scholarship prank on his brother Lungile Mcunu.

The scholarship prank sees social media users pretend to call on the help of their parents and grandparents to earn themselves a college scholarship worth thousands as they come up with ridiculous lies, recording the reactions.

Lasizwe’s followers seemed to have given him the go-ahead as he pretended to be making a video for the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and strung Lungile along well, until he mentioned “male prostitute” and his older brother was not having it! Well not for R100 000 but maybe R1 million!

“Thank you to the DTI for this opportunity. My name is Lasizwe and this is my big brother, Lungile,” said Lasizwe said in the video.

“One of the questions that they asked, is who is your biggest inspiration in your life and it has to be my older brother Lungile. So my older brother is my biggest inspiration because he is just a hard worker,” continued Lasizwe.

“When I was young, he did a lot of jobs. Like a lot of jobs because at home we were struggling to put food on the table and sometimes even at night Lungile would go in the streets. I’m so sorry. Lungile would go on the streets, and he would male prostitute,” he added.

“What in the hell!?” responded Lungile.

“SCHOLARSHIP PRANK on my BROTHER ???????? If looks could kill @lungilemcunu_ would have killed me,” wrote Lasizwe on Instagram.

WHO IS LASIZWE’S BROTHER LUNGILE?

Lasizwe and Lungile seem to share the same father, Menzi Mcunu, who is also the father of actress Khanyi Mbau. Lungile posted a picture with his sister on her birthday acknowledging their relationship which from his post, seemed to have started later in life as they did not grow up together.

“I’m ought to celebrate this day. On this day, years ago…God blessed the world and my father with @mbaureloaded knowing well that a year later she and @thetruetee would be big sisters to me,” wrote Lungile Mcunu.

“We’ve hopped into a new journey that I pray we face together, just like how we’ve faced other situations together. My best wishes go out to you. You are celebrated, forever so. I love you and a blessed birthday to you,” he continued.

Lungile also shared a picture of his siblings on Christmas last year.

Khanyi Mbau recently enjoyed a “baecation” in Dubai with her millionaire-fugitive boyfriend Kudzai Terrence Mushonga.

Menzi Mcunu passed away last year and Tweeps recently compared Lasizwe’s way of mourning to the way Connie Ferguson mourned the death of her husband, veteran actor Shona Ferguson.

Lasizwe’s response to the comparison had many thinking he disrespected Connie Ferguson.
