Summer is quickly approaching and many of those harsh lockdown rules that once stopped parties and events are a thing of the past. This means artists and performers are now gearing up to make big bank. One of those artists is Limpopo-born hitmaker Makhadzi. According to reports, the songbird charges quite a hefty fee for her performances, and judging by the reactions she gets from crowds it’s worth every penny.

The songstress isn’t the only local artist getting big money for bookings.

Makhadzi makes big bank with bookings

South African singer Makhadzi is one of many artists who are finally able to get back to making money now that the world has seemingly gotten over COVID-19.

According to TimesLive, the 25-year-old Ghanama hitmaker charges a cool R150k per every booking – and compared to Zodwa Wabantu’s R30k it’s quite a lot.

Zodwa however can go up to R45k depending on the venue.

“If you want me at a club, my booking fee will be R35,000. If it’s outdoors, like at a stadium, you will pay R45,000,” she told the publication.

Meanwhile, Makhadzi’s boyfriend Master KG isn’t that far behind his lady with a booking fee of R120k.

More celeb booking fees

The local artist who charges a hefty cut above the rest is internationally acclaimed DJ and music producer DJ Black Coffee.

According to Briefly News, the We Dance Again hitmaker charges between R12 and R16 million per performance.

After making hits with artists like US rapper Drake, it appears he has become quite the sensation and now has options when it comes to the gigs he chooses to perform at.
