L’VOVO’S CAR ACCIDENT

The South African previously reported that L’vovo was involved in a head-on collision with a truck in his hometown of Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal. His leg was seriously injured in the car accident and told Isolezwe that he is learning to walk again.

“The problem is that I injured my hip, so walking has been very challenging. But doctors have inserted a pediatric hip plate to help this area to heal, what is left now is for me to walk again,” he said.

“I have started attending classes that will help me to walk and I was removed from the intensive care unit (ICU) on Wednesday [1 June]”.

The 41-year-old spent a month in the ICU at Greys Hospital in Pietermaritzburg.

L’VOVO ON SURVIVING THE CAR ACCIDENT

Speaking to TshisaLive, L’vovo shared that the car accident has taught him to live life to the fullest, appreciate life, take care of his body and be grateful for those who love him.

“I am so grateful for life. God is good and I am grateful for my ancestors because they are also part of us. I’ll be able to walk again, I’m able to talk again, but if you look at the damage to the car, you wouldn’t think I would make it.”

He added that he was doing much better and using crutches to help him get back on his feet.

“I must not rush because if I rush I could cause complications that will send me back to hospital.”

PRAISING HIS ANCESTORS

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday 1 June, L’vovo praised his ancestors following his car accident.

He captioned the post with izibongo – which are praises given to a man in the IsiZulu culture to honour his work or character.
