Skomota is trending after his videos of travelling in a private chartered plane went viral on social media.

The videos have since gained thousands of comments and reactions since it dropped on the internet.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter news blog MDN News posted, “Skomota flying to England, UK private. He will be performing at a Family Show in Birmingham with Limpopo boy-bujwa. The event is on the 26 May 2024, and Skhothane sa Pitori did not make it to the trip as they left him behind.”

Against the post, Mzansi quickly flooded the comments section with congratulatory comments. Fans wished the viral sensation well. Reports have it that he will be part of a star-studded lineup set to perform at a family show in Birmingham.

No doubt, this is arguably Skomota’s first European gig since his thrust into the limelight. Skomota had his shot at fame in 2023 when he reportedly won R3 million from Betways.

Against his win, he quickly furnished his craze for entertainment and quickly became a darling to many. He has headlined several shows and has had the opportunity to rub shoulders with other A-listers, including Makhazi and DJ Tira.

Makhadzi once hogged headlines when she performed with Skomota at the South Africa Music Awards. The viral sensation was a surprise act, and he wowed many with his signature dance moves.

However, regarding his recent gig, Mzansi has since implicated his booking fees in the mix. Skomota’s management hasn’t openly confirmed his booking fees. Last year, the rumour mill said Skomota makes a whopping R545 000 monthly.

However, a leaked WhatsApp chat earlier this year revealed that Skomota costs R90 000 to book. Earlier this year, he had a nasty fallout with his manager after he openly accused him of defrauding his money.

Skomota dropped the daring allegations in one of his podcast interviews. His close friend and road manager, Skhothane sa Pitori, also took a swipe at his manager for taking advantage of the muso.

Skhothane sa Pitori revealed that Skomota had no bank account, and all his booking fees were being paid to Moruti wa Dikota’s account. Skhothane sa Pitori pulled a shocker when he revealed that Skomota had made over R1 million in bookings.

However, Skomota hasn’t had his fair share of bookings. Against the daring allegations, the two had a meeting, which was also attended by Skomota’s family.

Amid their woes, Skomota cancelled all his bookings. Popular blog MDN News posted, “Skomota has cancelled all his bookings until further notice. They say they are requesting Moruti Wa Dikota to appear before a meeting with them, along with Skomota’s family, to resolve the issues regarding his money.”
