Bryoni Govender’s Serbian soccer star boyfriend Samir Nurković – a former Kaizer Chiefs striker – has showered her with praise ahead of her stint at Miss Supranational next month.

The Miss SA runner-up will compete in the international beauty pageant in Poland on 6 July.

Bryoni and Samir have been dating since 2020.

On Thursday, 13 June, Bryoni Govender showered her boyfriend Samir Nurković with love on his 32nd birthday.

Taking to his IG Stories, Samir responded: “My queen”

“Thank you, my love, love you lots, miss you so much”.

The Serbian star – who played for Kaizer Chiefs from 2019 -2022 – has been dating the Gauteng beauty for several years.

He’s also been a supportive pageant spouse, having shown his public support on her Miss Universe journey.

After her exit from the pageant, Samir seemingly shaded the competition on his social media account. “We have our own Bryoniverse. Let them have that fake universe”.

Meanwhile, Bryoni Govender is gearing up to jet off to Poland to take part in the 15th edition of Miss Supranational on 6 July.

Bryoni said in an Instagram post: “This opportunity is a profound honour, marking a pivotal moment in my journey. It’s a reminder that while some doors may close, others open wide, inviting us to step into new experiences.

“This chance to represent South Africa is not just a personal milestone but also a platform to advocate for the cause close to my heart on an international stage.

The dark-haired beauty – a qualified lawyer – added that she had been preparing herself “both mentally and physically” for the competition.

She continued: “These preparations have included intense training sessions to enhance my physical fitness, catwalk, poise and stage presence. I have also been working with top-notch trainers to improve my communication skills and develop a strong and impactful voice. I always say that the most important thing for me when preparing for any competition is to have a positive and healthy mindset and to have put in all the necessary work”.

Bryoni believes that her experience at the Miss Universe pageant will place her in good stead to enter Miss Supranational.

She added: “Whether I win a crown or not, I’ll continue making South Africa proud. So, here’s to dreams realised, lessons learned, and the magic of representing my country on a global stage!”
