Leeds United and Kaizer Chiefs legend Lucas Radebe is making headlines after his impressive fleet left social media abuzz. Undoubtedly, the celebrated former Bafana Bafana captain has a soft spot for some of the world’s finest cars and has an impressive fleet to show for it.


Lucas Radebe is making headlines after a video of his cars went viral online. Since it was posted, the video has gained thousands of comments and reactions.

Primo Baloyi captioned the now-viral video a ‘car wash day’ at the Radebe household, showing off Lucas Radebe’s fleet. No doubt, Mzansi was more than convinced that it was a subtle flex.

Against the post, petrolheads quickly nodded to Lucas Radebe’s fleet. However, many were more than convinced that his fleet resembled that in the famous movie ‘Gone in 60 Seconds.’ Some of Lucas Radebe’s flashiest cars include:

‘Eleanor’ Ford Shelby GT500

One of the most sought-after classics among celebrities, the car became more popular after being included in Gone in 60 Seconds. The remake of Gone in 60 Seconds saw Nicolas Cage and Angelina Jolie steal dozens of luxury sports cars and classics, including “Eleanor,” an ultra-rare 1967 Ford Shelby GT500.

After the movie, the car’s price tag ballooned. According to Hypebeast, the car has a base price tag of $200 000. However, reports have it that one of the 2000s remakes sold for $1 million at an auction. Surprisingly, Lucas Radebe owns one of the 1967 Ford Shelby GT500.

Lucas Radebe also has a Dodge Challenger with a base price tag of R1.5 million. Dubbed the best muscle car, the Dodge Challenger boasts power and reliability. Rumour mill has it that he also has luxury vans.


Lucas Radebe started his youth career with ICL Birds in 1987. However, he left ICL Birds for Kaizer Chiefs Juniors in 1988. However, he went on to join the senior team. According to reports, he made his senior debut in 1989.

After a colourful stint, he left the Soweto giants in 1994 for English Premier League side Leeds United. He made over 200 appearances for the club. However, his stint with Leeds was marred by injuries.

In 2005, Lucas Radebe retired from professional football. Lucas Radebe has quickly become one of the most celebrated stars ever to come from Africa.
