THE KOLISI FAMILY REUNITES WITH SIYA’S SIBLINGS

“Reunited for the holidays! ❤️. And my heart is full again. It’s going to be our first white and cold Christmas! In a time where there is such devastation in the world, I’m remembering how incredibly privileged, and blessed we are,” she wrote.

“Hug those you can, a little longer. Ps Christmas Trees are not my strong point,” she continued.

The Kolisi family is currently living in Paris, France. The family of four moved to the city ahead of Siya joining Paris-based rugby team Racing 92. WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT THE SIBLINGS

Siya and his siblings share a mother who unfortunately passed away in 2009 which left Liyema and Liphelo bouncing from orphanages to foster homes for years before Siya and Rachel were financially stable enough to adopt them in 2014.

According to Kaya FM, the Springboks captain found his siblings in foster care in Zwide – a township in Gqeberha.

“My little sister didn’t know me. She had been crawling when I last saw her. I told the woman taking care of them that I was going to take them for December holidays that year, which I did. But afterwards I said I can’t send them back,” he said to The Guardian.

“I had to go through a legal process, which I started after that holiday. It took about 18 months, but I finally legally adopted them,” he continued.
