Medical doctor Musa Mthombeni and former Miss SA Liesl Laurie announced their traditional wedding on Saturday 21 August.
LIESL AND MUSA’S TRADITIONAL WEDDING
The couple first announced their relationship after getting engaged in KwaZulu-Natal in June and since then we’ve been witness to all the big moments in the couple’s journey of unity. From Dr Musa revealing their relationship began after he slid in the Direct messages (DM) of Liesl’s last year, to the couple’s lobola negotiations which took place in July, followed by Liesl’s bridal shower earlier this month.
They shared pictures of their traditional wedding to their Instagram accounts. The couple wore traditional attire and formal wear.
“Let’s have ourselves a little little wedding ❤️,” wrote Liesl Laurie-Mthombeni on Instagram.
“Matrimony /ˈmatrɪməni/ noun, the state of being married; marriage,” wrote Mthombeni on Instagram.
FIRST ANNIVERSARY POSTS
The couple’s wedding comes just a week after they celebrated one year of being together.
“Celebrating one year with this lovely, amazing, sweet and innocent young woman from Eldorado park. ???? To many more. To giggles. To laughs. To love. To life!” wrote Mthombeni on Instagram.
The couple checked into the beautiful Kievits Kroon Hotel in Pretoria where they enjoyed a spa date, fine dining and wine.
“To a glorious year of being in love with you! Happy anniversary standwa sam ????,” wrote Mthombeni on Instagram.
LIESL IS OFFICIALLY MRS ‘LAURIE-MTHOMBENI’
The former Miss SA has decided to hyphen her maiden surname with her husband’s surname, officially going with “Laurie-Mtombeni”, Liesl also seems to have been given the name “Sithandiwe” by the Mthombeni family.
WHERE IS THE HONEYMOON?
Liesl and Musa are spending their honeymoon at Mosaic Lagoon Lodge located on the Hermanus Lagoon and Walker Bay Nature Reserve in the Western Cape. The newlyweds shared a few Instagram Stories of their stay at the resort on their Instagram accounts.
Although Liesl and Musa are just kicking off their stay at the lodge, here is a look at the lodge itself.
