Social media star Lasizwe Dambuza revealed on his YouTube show Drink or Tell the Truth on Friday 27 August that he is in an “entanglement” with actor Teboho Caddy Tsotetsi.
LASIZWE ON HIS ‘TRICKY’ BAE
Lasizwe Dambuza revealed that he has a complicated relationship with Caddy Tsotetsi, who is popularly known as “Fresh By Caddy”. This was after his guest, Nadia Nakai asked him to name one person he has “been with” from a soccer player, politician and someone in the entertainment industry.
Lasizwe then revealed that he’s been with Caddy Tsotetsi but the actor wants him to be a “trophy” boyfriend and that is not his style.
“Things are very tricky with him and I. We tryna meet halfway but it doesn’t work. I think he wants me to be his trophy…I don’t want to sit there and wait for my partner to do s*** for me,” said Lasizwe.
This follows Lasizwe’s heartbreaking experience in February, when he bought his mystery man a flight back to Cape Town and after dropping him off at the airport he ran into him later at at a groove in Braamfontein, Johannesburg.

1. HE IS AN ACTOR ON ‘THE LEGACY’
Caddy plays Sanele on The Legacy, as Lasizwe revealed on Drink or Tell the Truth.
“I’ve been with, well not been but, he’s on the Legacy, his name is Caddy Tsotetsi he plays Sanele,” said Lasizwe.
Sanele is a junior business analyst who is flamboyant and bubbly character. Watch Caddy introduce himself as Sanele here.
2. HE IS A MODEL
According to his Instagram biography, he is a model and judging from his posts, there’s no doubting that. Here is a look.
3. HE WAS A TV PRESENTER
Caddy has been the presenter of Teenagers On A Mission on SABC 1 for years where he took viewers on the journey of learning about science and technology. He also hosted Super Fans on eTV.
4. HE PURSUED MEDIA STUDIES AS A CAREER
Although Caddy does not have any formal training in acting, he studied Media Studies at Boston Media House.
5. HE IS A FASHION CONSULTANT
Caddy seems to be passionate about fashion and according to his Instagram biography he is a fashion consultant.
WHAT IS CADDY AND LASIZWE’S RELATIONSHIP STATUS?
Although Lasizwe said that the pair have a “tricky” relationship, Tweeps seem to think Caddy’s recent relationship advice was a hint that he and Lasizwe never worked out.
“In a relationship you guys need to be helping each other. There mustn’t be that thing where somebody is taking away something away from you. You mustn’t be in a relationship that doesn’t help you in any way. You’re just wasting your time,” he said.
However Lasizwe has bigger fish to fry at the moment as he has just “saved” his big sister Khanyi Mbau after she ditched Dubai with her boyfriend Kudzai Mushonga. It is not yet clear what transpired between the pair, but Lasizwe hinted several times that Khanyi was not safe there, the siblings are now enjoying some freedom in the Free State.
