Lady Zamar has been dragged for filth on the Twitter streets after she announced plans to feature on Nota Baloyi’s podcast this week.

But irking South Africans more than the latter’s controversial nature are their plans to discuss the topic of cyberbullying and suicide prevention.

Ironically, Nota’s name has been linked to allegations of cyberbullying, particularly towards his estranged wife, singer Berita.

LADY ZAMAR TO CHAT WITH NOTA BALOYA.

In a social media post, Lady Zamar shared the news that she would be chatting to Nota on his podcast called the Music Business Authority on Tuesday, 28 February.

The duo will be discussing suicide prevention and cyberbullying in the entertainment industry.

Lady Zamar will likely use her own experience of being cyberbullied by fans as a talking point.  In 2019, the hitmaker accused her ex-boyfriend Sjava of raping her and inflicting sexual and emotional abuse on her.

The couple dated secretly for a year before the incident, which she detailed in a Twitter thread in 2019.

Sjava maintained his innocence throughout the lengthy ordeal, which was thrown out of court in 2020 by the NPA. Since then, Lady Zamar has faced a barrage of insults from social media users, who’ve accused her of “lying.”

She’ll also likely discuss the tragic incident of Bafana Sithole, a student who killed himself in November 2022 after falsely being accused of rape. Following his death, Lady Zamar was tagged in tweets of the news by Twitter users. She eventually responded, tweeting: “No one should ever lie about getting raped.”

BACKLASH FROM FANS

Meanwhile, tweeps are slamming Lady Zamar’s decision to chat with Nota Baloyi, who they consider a “cyberbully” himself. This follows his estranged wife Berita’s interview on kaya FM, in which she claims her marriage was a “narcissistically abusive relationship.”

She accused him of tarnishing her name online and harassing her family to temporarily return to their home country of Zimbabwe.

Here’s what they had to say:

@Kim_Khandashisa: “For someone like Lady Zamar to associate herself with the likes of Nota when she’s been a victim of cyberbullying and harassment for years since she outed that gent is just so shocking.”

@NtseiSky: “Whoever advises Lady Zamar needs to be fired. Why is she on that podcast with that man? It’s so disappointing.”

@Itumele35948681: “Forget Lady Zamar, guys. Why is Nota hosting a podcast about cyberbullying while he is the founder of cyberbullying?”
